of course i get my ravelry invite at 1am. and of course i screw around for an hour instead of going to bed. it's just as cool as i anticipated though. love it when that happens.

i knit the other sock/bootie tonight. it's just as lumpy and not entirely on purpose. i dropped a lot more stitches on this one too...got too involved in the shield. poor lem.

i still don't know what to think of them. hubby says they're cute but he has this thing about smallness = cute. either way, i'm going to make a simple hat with yellow ribbing trim and the same pattern. and a pom pom. i've always wanted to make something with a pom pom but i think they're kind of dorky. since i'm 90% sure the whole thing will end up in my first tries pile...well why the hell not.
